This Bear Was The Model For "Winnie The Pooh" Stories. A.A. Milne (The Creator Of "Winnie The Pooh" Stories) And His Own Son, Christopher Robin, Had Visited The Bear Frequently At The London Zoo Where Captain Harry Colebourn Left The Bear When He Left For The Battlefields In France. When The War Was Over Colebourn Decided To Leave The Bear With The London Zoo As They Had Looked After The Bear So Well. Colebourn Often Visited The Bear In London. Colebourn Lived In Winnipeg At 600 Corydon Avenue And Had A Small Animal Hospital At The Rear Of His Family Home There. (See Also A1596-52579 And A1596-52580)
